Bryan brings a lot of strengths to his work at Amazon. What stands out for me is his insistence on the highest standard when it comes to the optimal design-driven product decision making. He also demonstrates strong customer obsession, as reflected in his usability studies and proposals on a revised customer journey map. He is not afraid of challenging the assumptions made by his PM and Engineering partners, while asking tough but critical questions to improve collaboration processes among stakeholders. Within 6 months of joining the team, he already delivered results and assisted multiple teams to deal with complexity. His document writing skills are also above his peers, as demonstrated in the logical and holistic thoughts presented on the frameworks and options for the future of UX, PM, Engineering collaboration. Bryan has the potential to help Amazon JP Retail establish the UX center of excellence and a scalable mechanism of UX driven problem finding and problem solving.

Bryan came in and has rapidly revolutionized the way we work. His mocks are always excellent and fast—meaning we can get them in front of client engineers quickly to get feedback and find out where the gaps are. Bryan’s greatest strength is his ability to communicate, which we have already leveraged heavily. He’s got a sharp mind and keeps us focused on the user experience. It is an absolute pleasure to work with such a talented, confident designer. I can’t wait to build great things with him.
— Colleague: Nick Cangie, Sr. Technical Program Manager, Mercari Inc.
Bryan is very adept at design and online collaboration! In particular, I feel that he is very good at iterating through design deliverables. His thought process, logic and design thinking that he shares during design critiques are very organized and easy to understand. I’ve learned from Bryan to have a high standard of quality, even during the messy iterative stages of design. Friendly by nature, he’s helped foster a really good atmosphere within the product design team.
