Hello!

I'm Bryan, a πŸ—½ New York-born, πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ Vancouver-raised, πŸ’ UX/UI Designer, currently based in πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ Tokyo.
In my spare time, I like to build πŸ€– hobby kits, collect πŸ‘Ÿ sneakers and πŸ€ hoop.
I have an unhealthy obsession with πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ Japanese culture, πŸ‘˜ fashion, β›© design, and 🍣 food
(...and generally 🍑 all 🍡 things πŸ™ from 🍱 the 🍒 land of 🍜 the πŸ₯ rising sun).

β€œBryan is a fantastically gifted individual with an amazing technical aptitude and ability to easily relate to both customer requirements or colleagues with strong work ethic and a professional attitude.”

not your average designer.

My hope is to solve everyday problems by creating experiences that empower the user, and offer them the best, clearest information possible. I’m not your typical product designer, and I believe that is my greatest strength. I take pride in my broad background which allows me to be a designer unlike many others:

As a developer turned designer, I have the unique capacity to inform my design decisions with technical requirements, implications and expectations in mind.

As a project manager turned designer, I’m able to understand the importance of inserting myself into every step of the product lifecycle, and effectively communicate with cross-functional team members to overcome obstacles.

As a business consultant turned designer, I have the ability to probe deep and identify problems/opportunities that even the user may not be aware of.

As a media producer turned designer, I've developed a keen sense for creating experiences through visual storytelling to empathize with my audience, while holding myself accountable to a high degree of attention for detail.

Combining 8+ years experience in the tech industry, I'm able to leverage my diverse skill set and high level of technical aptitude to reinforce my design decisions.
